netflix-amazon-huluParks Associates has announced the top 10 streaming services in the United States. They came up with this list from multiple consumer surveys, network traffic data, and service provider information.

It may be no surprise to see Netflix as the most popular, but you may be surprised to know newcomer HBO NOW has jumped to 6th place and Crunchyroll, the anime streaming service, is more popular than NFL Game Pass and Sling TV.

Here are the top 10 streaming services in the United States according to Parks Associates:

  1. Netflix
  2. Amazon Video
  3. Hulu
  4. MLB.TV
  5. WWE Network
  6. HBO Now
  7. Crunchyroll
  8. NFL Game Pass
  9. The Blaze
  10. Sling TV

“The number of new services and continued growth for many existing services show the vitality of the OTT video services market in the U.S.,” said Brett Sappington, Director, Research, Parks Associates. “While Netflix holds a substantial lead, new and emerging OTT services are establishing their own place in the market.”

Whereas we do not know how many subscribers services like Sling TV currently have, we do know Netflix has 43 million US subscribers as of October 2015 per their recent letter to stockholders.

With an estimated 50+ million people still subscribing to cable TV, there is still a lot of room for new streaming services to grow and replace the need for cable TV.
