HBO’s Run follows Ruby and Billy, former college sweethearts who once made a promise that if one texted “RUN” and the other responded, the two would meet in Grand Central Station.
The series stars Domhnall Gleeson (About Time) as Billy and Emmy Award-winning actress Meritt Wever (Nurse Jackie, Godless) as Ruby Dixie. Phoebe Waller-Bridge serves as executive producer and, as we see in the preview for the season, has a recurring role as Laurel.
Here’s the official description: “During their first night aboard, Ruby’s mind is consumed by sex, while Billy probes for personal details she’s reluctant to give up. Comforted by the fact that her husband believes she’s on a weeklong yoga retreat – and determined to make Billy jealous – Ruby brazenly connects with Derek, a stranger on the train. Meanwhile, Billy works to shake a persistent figure from his past.”
Here’s the preview of what we’ll see on the series.
Run premiered Sunday, April 12 on HBO. Watch new episodes Sundays at 10:30pm.
