Another year, another Emmys Awards night come and gone. Here’s how your favorite TV networks made out:
HBO basically blew it’s competition out of the water with 34 total wins, Netflix came in second place with 27, and Amazon took third with 15 Emmys under it’s belt.
HBO’s winnings can largely be attributed to it’s eighth and final season of Game of Thrones which was nominated for 32 awards itself and brought home 12, as well as HBO”s limited series Chernobyl. Netflix’s big winners included “Ozark” and “Russian Doll.” Amazon’s stars were “Fleabag” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”

Streaming services like Netflix and Amazon have been giving traditional networks a run for their money when it comes to awards, churning out quality content. Next year will be even more interesting with new streaming services to contend with including Disney+, Peacock and HBO Max.
