The HBO Max medical series The Pitt has been renewed for another season.
The announcement was made by Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO, HBO and HBO Max Content at an event for the Season 2 premiere on Wednesday night. The second season debuts tonight, Thursday, January 8, at 9:00 p.m. ET on HBO Max.
The Pitt is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh. Season 2 stars Noah Wyle as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, Patrick Ball as Dr. Langdon, Katherine LaNasa as Dana Evans, Supriya Ganesh as Dr. Mohan, Fiona Dourif as Dr. McKay, Taylor Dearden as Dr. King, Isa Briones as Dr. Santos, Gerran Howell as Whitaker, Shabana Azeez as Javadi, and Sepideh Moafi as Dr. Al-Hashimi.
The first season of the series premiered in January 2025 and earned 13 Emmy nominations and 5 wins, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Drama Casting, Noah Wyle for Lead Actor, Katherine LaNasa for Best Supporting Actress, and Shawn Hatosy for Guest Actor.
