Hulu LogoA documentary about 16 year old climate activist Greta Thunberg will be coming to Hulu in 2020, according to an exclusive report from Deadline.

The documentary, given the working title Greta, began when the then 15 year old organized a school strike to bring awareness to the climate crisis. Since then, the documentary team has been following Thunberg and her movement as it expanded from Stockholm to parliaments and sparked international protests. Hulu joined the project as deals were being made to bring the documentary to the streaming platform.

Greta Thunberg was recently named Time Person of the Year. She has appeared at the United Nations Climate Action Summit and at the COP25 Climate Change conference, giving speeches about the need to focus on the climate crisis. Thunberg has also been awarded a fellowship of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society, along with being nominated for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize.

Greta will be a part of Hulu’s collection of original documentaries which currently includes Minding The Gap, Ask Dr. Ruth and Hillary.
