In June, Great American Media and Pure Flix merged into one platform. The faith and family streaming service now has a new name and but is sticking to its family-friendly promise.
The service will now be called Great American Pure Flix, with subscribers able to access more titles focused on family-friendly films and series. It serves as a streaming companion to Great American Family, the fastest-growing cable network for the past ten months.
“Great American Pure Flix is committed to bringing viewers quality movies and programs that celebrate faith, family, and hometown values,” the company said. “You can stream clean anytime, anywhere.”
This month, Great American Pure Flix is adding several new films starting on September 15 with Divine Influencer starring Lara Silva (The Chosen) and directed by Shari Rigby. On September 30, Harvest Homecoming, starring Trevor Donovan and Jessica Lowndes, premieres on Great American Family, followed by a streaming debut on October 6. A new Western directed by Aaron Burns (Legacy Peak) will air on October 13, starring Lucas Black and Sarah Drew.
This November, the streaming service will host several new Christmas movies featuring Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, Danica McKellar, Trevor Donovan, and Jen Lilley. Titles and release dates have yet to be revealed.
Great American Pure Flix joins the rest of the Great American Media brand’s portfolio, which includes Great American Family, Great American Living, Great American Adventures, Great American Community, and a Pure Flix free ad-supported service that hasn’t yet launched.
“Great American Pure Flix fits seamlessly with the Great American Media family,” said Bill Abbott, president and chief executive officer of Great American Media. “Our mission is to provide families with quality entertainment that celebrates faith, family, and hometown values wherever and however they enjoy watching.”
