Google TV’s live channel lineup just got a lot bigger. The service, which runs on Chromecast devices, Google TV television sets and Android phones, added more than 25 free channels.
Google TV said it now has more than 100 free built-in channels that don’t require log-in.
This is the latest addition to the lineup as Google tries to turn its TV app into more of a destination for free ad-supported television channels. The company in April signed a deal with Tubi, Plex and Haystack News to bring over 800 live channels to the service.
At least four of the channels come from a partnership with NBCUniversal, which include channels devoted to the show Murder, She Wrote and more. An image shared by Google shows channels dedicated to Antiques Roadshow, Baywatch, Anger Management, Shades of Black and a game show channel.
In addition, the company said that it plans to integrate NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube and YouTube TV into the Google TV interface, with recommendations appearing on the home screen.
