Gilmore Girls Is Coming to Hallmark Channel — Here’s How to Watch Without Cable

Lorelai and Rory are headed to Stars Hollow… via Hallmark.

Beginning August 25, Hallmark Channel will start airing Gilmore Girls in weekday blocks from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and weekend mornings from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. The addition brings a beloved pop culture favorite to Hallmark’s already cozy lineup, just in time for the fall season.

This marks the first time the hit series has aired on Hallmark, joining a slate that includes The Golden Girls, Reba, and Frasier. According to Hallmark Media’s VP of Programming & Acquisitions, Ayn Prince, the decision was all about the tone. “Hallmark shares the same passion for feel-good, whimsical content and characters,” she said in a news release, “making this show and its ever-growing fandom the perfect addition to our Hallmark Channel viewing experience.”

Originally debuting in 2000 on The WB, Gilmore Girls follows the lives of quick-witted, coffee-fueled single mom Lorelai Gilmore and her academically ambitious daughter Rory. Set in the charming fictional town of Stars Hollow, the series quickly earned a cult following for its rapid-fire dialogue, heartwarming themes, and quirky supporting cast.

The show ran for seven seasons and was followed by a Netflix revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Whether you’re tuning in to relive Rory’s Harvard dreams or just craving Luke’s diner coffee, here’s how cord-cutters can watch all the Gilmore Girls drama without a traditional cable package.
