Stars Hollow is calling, and coffee cups are at the ready! Start TV Network confirmed to Cord Cutters News that the iconic series Gilmore Girls will join its lineup as the show’s new linear television home, kicking off a celebration of the series’ 25th anniversary. Named one of Time magazine’s 100 Greatest TV Series of All Time, Gilmore Girls will bring its fast-talking, heartwarming mother-daughter story to Start TV starting Monday, May 12—perfectly timed for the day after Mother’s Day. Fans can tune in weekdays at 5 p.m. ET/PT, with an encore airing at 11 p.m. ET/PT, to follow Lorelai and Rory Gilmore’s unforgettable journey. All of this free with an antenna in many areas on Start TV.

Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino for Warner Bros. Television, Gilmore Girls premiered on The WB Network on October 5, 2000, and became a cultural touchstone over its seven-season run. The series follows Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham), a quick-witted single mother, and her driven teenage daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel), in the charming, fictional Connecticut town of Stars Hollow. Known for its sharp dialogue, multi-generational appeal, and cozy community vibe, the show has continued to win over new fans, especially after becoming a streaming hit on Netflix in 2014. Its enduring popularity even led to the 2016 four-part revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, which Start TV will also air.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Gilmore Girls to Start TV, where Lorelai and Rory will shine alongside our roster of smart, strong women,” a Start TV spokesperson said. “This series is a perfect fit for our audience, and what better way to celebrate its 25th anniversary than by bringing it back to linear TV for fans old and new?”

Viewers can start from the beginning with the pilot episode airing on May 12 at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. The series will air Monday through Friday, joining a weekday lineup that includes The Closer (Mondays), Medium (Tuesdays), Major Crimes (Wednesdays), Cold Case (Thursdays), and Rizzoli & Isles (Fridays) from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Start TV is available on broadcast stations, select cable and satellite providers, and streaming platforms like YouTube TV, Fubo, Frndly TV, and Philo.
