Well, it looks like there is a loophole that will allow you to get 6 months free PlayStation Vue if you are one of the lucky ones to get the free upgrade to Elite. This morning my email was full of people pointing out this out to us, so I wanted to go over it.
Today over on Reddit a user /u/cordon2 posted that he canceled PlayStation Vue after getting the 6 months upgrade to Elite. After he canceled it still shows up as a free till January 28th 2018.
Here is what Reddit user /u/cordon2 said about this:
I decided this morning that I was gonna ditch Vue for good, and go with Slingtv for cost reasons, so I canceled Access Slim sub online, but surprise, surprise, because of the Elite free upgrade, I still have Vue for free until the promo expires Jan 28, 2018. 6 months of free Vue service, at no cost.
Here is an image the Reddit user posted:
Now to make this work you have to be one of the lucky subscribers who got the free upgrade to Elite for 6 months. That seems to be the catch here so make sure you have that deal.
Now fair warning Sony could easily cut this off at any time. This is likely a glitch in their system that they will close shortly. So if you are enjoying the PlayStation Vue Elite upgrade, you risk losing it if they decide to cut you off in a few weeks. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK. You can always sign right back up for PlayStation Vue if something gets cut off but you likely will lose your free Elite upgrade. Also if you like PlayStation Vue why not support them and keep paying.
