This year for the first time ever cord cutters will be able to stream college football games in 4k. fuboTV made news this year by streaming the World Cup in 4K. Now they are going to do the same with a deal to stream select FS1 games in 4K. (Note FS1 is always offered in 4K of fuboTV but only some of their programming is broadcast in 4K.)
Here are the games that will stream in 4K over the next few weeks:
- Aug 31 – San Diego State vs. Stanford (FS1)
- Sept 8 – W Michigan vs. Michigan (FS1)
- Sept 15 – Fresno State vs. UCLA (FS1)
Now you will need a supported 4K device as fuboTV currently only supports 4K on the following devices:
- AppleTV 4K
- Chromecast Ultra
- Desktop/Laptop Browsers
- Internet Explorer (latest version)
- Safari (latest version)
- FireTV 4K
- FireTV Cube
- Roku Premier
- Roku Premier+
- Roku Ultra
- Android Mobile Phones with HDR10 displays
- Huawei Mate 10 Pro
- Huawei P20
- LG V30
- Razer Phone
- Samsung Galaxy Note 8
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S3
- Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+
- Sony Xperia XZ Premium
- Sony Xperia XZ1
- Sony Xperia XZ2
Cord Cutters News has reached out to fuboTV to ask about Roku TVs but at this time they are not listed as supported. fuboTV also suggests a minimum speed of 40 Mbps down for 4K streaming.
