If you are a Fubo live TV subscriber, you may notice a new user interface rolling out. Fubo has confirmed to Cord Cutters News that they have started to test a re-design of their apps on the Fire TV and Android TV devices that will include a new user interface they call their global “Unified Platform (UP).”
This new Fubo user interface will be a re-build and re-designed app across TV, mobile, and web. Already a handful of users have been invited into a betta to test out the new app this week. Now Fubo has announced the new user interface is now live on Android TV and some Fire TV devices.
The big change is the main menu has moved from the top of the screen to the left side, making it easier, according to Fubo, to quickly get to what you want.
You will also find a new My Stuff area with new options to quickly find what you want, including:
- Recordings: Everything you’ve recorded on Cloud DVR
- Watchlist: Shows or movies you’ve added to your favorites
- Continue Watching: Recorded or on-demand programming you started but didn’t finish
You will also find new controls over your DVR, including the ability to keep already recorded shows but stop new recordings. The ability to quickly delete episodes you have already watched, and more. This means you can quickly keep your DVR clean from junk you don’t want to see anymore.
Fubo told Cord Cutters News that the new apps will be a gateway to a more intuitive, personalized, and humanized live TV streaming experience.
This news comes as Fubo also brought back their new top-of-the-line Ultimate package, which includes the NFL Redzone Channel, which was not included in the original package. It also comes with almost 300 channels, 1,000 hours of DVR, and 4K programming included. Lastly, maybe the best selling point for many sports fans is you can get watch on ten different devices at once.
With this news, though, Fubo has stopped selling the Premier package. If you currently have the Premier package, you will be able to keep your current package. New subscribers will need to pay for the Ultimate NFL package.
