The European Football Alliance, a new American football league out of Europe, launches its inaugural season this month and just signed a deal to air games in North America through Fubo Sports Network.
The first season will include 18 games played among six teams – the Frankfurt Galaxy, Munich Ravens, Paris Musketeers, Prague Lions, Raiders Tirol, and Nordic Storm. The league has plans to expand next season.
Games will air on Fubo’s free streaming channel, with coverage including all 18 games, game highlights, on-demand content, and more. With the partnership, the EFA will expand its reach to millions of sports fans in the U.S. and Canada, including over-the-air (OTA)
coverage in 100 U.S. markets.
“This partnership represents an important step in expanding EFA’s footprint in North America,” said Eric Reutemann, CEO of EFA Football Services GmbH. “Fubo Sports Network’s platform and audience alignment make them a strong partner as we continue to build a global presence for European American football.”
“EFA is already a compelling, fast-growing football brand in Europe and we believe Fubo Sports Network’s North American audience will devour its hard-hitting gameplay,” said Pamela Duckworth, Head of Fubo Studios, Fubo. “Our agreement with EFA brings a European perspective on classic American football to our diverse programming lineup that includes 500 live sporting events each year. We can’t wait to add EFA to the mix this spring.”
Fubo Sports Network is available for free on Amazon Prime Video, Hulu + Live TV, LG Channels, Samsung TV Plus, Sling Freestream, The Roku Channel, VIZIO WatchFree+, Tubi, Plex, TCL Channels, TCL Live TV, and Tablo TV. The channel is also part of DAZN’s subscription packages and Fubo’s subscription packages.
