NBA legend Tracy McGrady’s Ones Basketball League is making its streaming debut on Fubo Sports Network. The new agreement will bring “OBL: Battle of The Cities” to Fubo’s FAST channel starting Friday, May 15, with additional event days set for June 12 and July 1. The move helps the one-on-one hoops format reach a broader audience and the package will also include feature programming outside the live window.

Founded by Basketball Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady in 2022, OBL is built around elite 1-on-1 basketball, wrapped it in city pride, turned it into must-watch competition. The league says its goal is to showcase authentic talent while highlighting the identity and culture of each city represented.

“We are proud to have Fubo Sports Network as our first media partner for OBL, and look forward to working with them to tell the stories of these amazing athletes repping their cities and battling for the title,” said Tracy McGrady, founder, Ones Basketball League.

For the upcoming first streamed season, “OBL: Battle of the Cities” is being positioned as an expanded version of the league’s original format. Eight cities will enter the mix, each sending out a four-man roster built around a city’s basketball culture and selected by celebrity owners and GMs.

OBL Rules: Quick Games with Real Pressure

If you are used to traditional basketball, OBL’s rule set will feel fast and unforgiving. Games go to 9 points, use a 10-second shot clock, and are played with a 10-minute running game clock. Scoring is based on 1s and 2s, offensive rebounds are live, and a make or dead ball changes possession.

The foul and possession rules are just as sharp. Players get their first four fouls as possession resets, while a defensive foul on the fifth can send the offensive player to the line for one free throw. The rules also limit how long a player can back down a defender and give each player a pair of timeouts, plus one challenge per game for the GM or player captain. If a game ends tied, the first player to score two points wins.

The league also keeps the player pool focused on a specific sweet spot. Athletes must be 18 or older, not currently playing in college, and have appeared in fewer than 162 NBA games to be eligible. That makes the league a mix of under-the-radar talent, experienced hoopers, and players who still have something to prove.

“Tracy’s Ones Basketball League represents the exact type of content we love – authentic stories where grit meets determination,” said Pamela Duckworth, head of Fubo Studios, Fubo. “Tracy is a basketball legend and together we’re giving these talented athletes a place to shine by bringing OBL to streaming audiences for the first time.”

The OBL is arriving in a place that is easy to find and easy to sample. The Fubo Sports Network FAST channel is available across a wide range of platforms, including Fubo, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu + Live TV, Sling Freestream, Plex, and others.
