This week, Fubo announced a new update for the Fubo app for Android. This new app also includes new features including Landscape mode to browse the app and picture in picture mode.

The new Landscape mode may be one thing tablet owners may love the most no longer will the need to rotate the tablet to portrait mode to select a channel only to switch it back to landscape to watch it.

Here is what Fubo posted online this week:

Exciting Updates to Fubo’s Android Mobile App

We’re thrilled to announce the latest release of the Fubo Android mobile app (v5.10.1) marking a significant milestone in our ongoing journey to provide the best streaming experience for our users. This update is part of a comprehensive app redesign, bringing a host of long-requested features to your fingertips.

What’s New:

  1. Picture-in-Picture Mode: now multitasking is a breeze! Enjoy Fubo content while navigating through your device with our new picture-in-picture mode. Whether you’re checking emails, browsing, or chatting, never miss a moment of your favorite teams & shows.
  2. Landscape Mode: flip your tablet and elevate your browsing experience with our new landscape mode. Perfect for navigating through the Fubo app on a larger screen and tablets, whether you’re exploring content categories, checking schedules, or managing your DVRs. Your browsing just got more versatile.
  3. Thumbnails for VOD: we’ve added thumbnails for Video-on-Demand (VOD) content, enhancing your ability to quickly identify and see your progress when scrubbing through a video. Navigate effortlessly through your favorite content and pick up right where you left off.

We’re excited about these updates and hope they enhance your Fubo experience. We will be rolling this out to Fubo’s Android mobile customers over the next week or so. Stay tuned for other exciting features coming your way across all platforms and please continue to share feedback here. We are listening!
