FuboTV Inc., the leading sports-first live TV streaming platform, announced today a multi-year agreement with Weigel Broadcasting Co. to add eight new channels to its growing roster, including the highly popular MeTV, America’s #1 classic TV entertainment network, and the newly launched MeTV Toons. The deal enhances Fubo’s Pro and Elite channel plans with Weigel’s national entertainment networks— MeTV, H&I, MOVIES!, MeTV+, Catchy Comedy, Story Television, and MeTV Toons—while subscribers in the Chicago DMA will also gain access to WCIU, The U, featuring local sports, news, and entertainment, including over 30 WNBA Chicago Sky games in the 2025 season.

The addition of these channels bolsters Fubo’s appeal as a comprehensive streaming service, blending its sports-centric offerings with a robust selection of classic and contemporary entertainment. “In partnership with Weigel Broadcasting, we are thrilled to bring Fubo subscribers even more entertainment programming, including some of the most-loved TV shows and movies of all time,” said Todd Mathers, executive vice president of content strategy and acquisition at Fubo. “Our subscribers in Chicago can also follow the Sky’s pursuit of a second WNBA championship this season, as well as local news and entertainment content, with the addition of WCIU, The U to their channel lineup.”

Jim Hall, vice president of business development at Weigel Broadcasting, echoed the enthusiasm: “Weigel is excited to add our entertainment networks and Chicago’s WCIU, The U to the Fubo platform. Giving viewers access to our programming, alongside the popular sports and general entertainment content that Fubo is well known for, is a win-win for their subscribers, our viewers, and both our companies.”

The newly added Weigel networks cater to a wide range of audiences.

  • MeTV, the cornerstone of the deal, is renowned for its nostalgic lineup, featuring over 60 classic programs like MASH*, The Andy Griffith Show, All in the Family, and The Love Boat, alongside originals like Svengoolie and Toon In With Me.
  • MeTV Toons, a dedicated animation channel, brings beloved characters such as Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to viewers, evoking the golden era of cartoons.
  • MeTV+ expands on MeTV’s offerings with dramas like Police Woman and westerns like The Rifleman.
  • H&I (Heroes & Icons) showcases action-packed series such as NCIS, Walker: Texas Ranger, and all five original Star Trek series.
  • MOVIES! delivers unedited classic films from Hollywood’s Golden Age, starring icons like John Wayne and Meryl Streep.
  • Catchy Comedy highlights legendary comedies, including Norman Lear’s classics.
  • Story Television focuses on historical narratives and real-life stories.
  • For Chicago viewers, WCIU, The U offers local programming, including Chicago Sky games, high school sports, and popular sitcoms.

The addition of MeTV Toons, in particular, taps into the growing demand for family-friendly animation, while WCIU’s inclusion ensures Chicagoans have access to their hometown teams and stories. As Fubo continues to grow, this partnership with Weigel Broadcasting underscores its commitment to delivering value and variety to its audience.
