Frontier Will Now Sell Philo to Its Customers

philo tv logoFrontier Communications will now sell the streaming service Philo to its broadband customers. Philo made the deal with Frontier just after making the same deal with WOW! We’ll likely continue to see deals like this as smaller and mid-size cable providers focus more on broadband service and move away from offering traditional cable TV services.

Philo is a streaming service with over 50 channels for just $20 per month. The service keeps pricing low by not offering live sports as part of its subscription package. The channel lineup includes MTV, Lifetime, Hallmark, A&E, and more. You can get started with a 7 day free trial with no credit card information required.

While Philo does not release subscriber numbers, deals with WOW! and Frontier will only add to the streaming service’s growth. In September 2019, just before the 2 year anniversary of Philo’s launch, the company said it was growing quickly with no signs of slowing down. We grew by 30% in the last eight weeks, and we’re really at the most accelerated growth in our company’s history,” Philo’s Mike Keyserling said at the OTT & Video Distribution Summit.
