Today Pearl TV, one of the driving forces behind the move to the new ATSC 3.0 NextGen OTA TV, announced that four new markets will be upgraded this summer. These markets include Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Reno, and South Bend.

ATSC 3.0 NextGen TV offers the promise of 4K TV, better signal coverage, improved alerts, on-demand, and more all through your antenna. Though to take advantage of this you will need a new tuner.

“NEXTGEN TV has experienced incredible growth from concept to reality and is now broadcasting in more than 60% of U.S. households—and it would not have been possible without the collaboration, innovation, and perseverance of the broadcast and consumer electronics community,” said Anne Schelle, managing director of Pearl TV. “As we introduce new services and education to the consumer about the benefits and upgradeability of the technology, it’s key that we continue to support them as they look for the NEXTGEN TV logo at retail and when they engage with exciting and interactive broadcaster content.”

Alos CTA recently officially certified a new ATSC 3.0 Nextgen TV from ADTH and Tolka. This new tuner will allow you to connect to any Android or Linux platform and receive free over-the-air Nextgen TV with an antenna. You can also connect directly through HDMI to your TV.

The ADTH NEXTGEN TV Box will be available in July 2023 and is available now for pre-order on ADTH’s website. The MSRP for the NEXTGEN TV receiver is $119.99, and it is available for pre-order at the discounted price of $79.99 for a limited time.
