FOX Corporation’s direct-to-consumer streaming platform, FOX One, has entered into an agreement with Skreens Entertainment Technologies, Inc. to introduce multiview capabilities and new monetization features for selected live programming.
The partnership will integrate Skreens’ scalable adaptive channel infrastructure and its Tessera software platform. This technology is designed to deliver frame-accurate, synchronized multiview experiences that viewers can generate themselves. The system operates on the server side, allowing multiple video feeds to be combined into a single stream without requiring specialized client-side software on user devices.
In addition to multiview functionality, the deployment will support the insertion of contextual and targeted brand experiences during live action. These elements are intended to create additional engagement opportunities for viewers while providing new revenue avenues for the platform. The technology aims to maintain high-quality video delivery with low latency, which is particularly important for live sports and other time-sensitive content distributed at scale.
Implementation of the new features is expected to begin with curated multiview presentations for select major live events. One of the first prominent applications will involve coverage of the upcoming FIFA World Cup presented by FOX Sports. The tournament content will stream on FOX One across compatible devices starting this summer. Every match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup is already scheduled to be available live and on-demand in 4K on the platform, and the multiview enhancements are positioned to expand viewing options during the event.
FOX One, which launched on August 21, 2025, consolidates a wide range of FOX programming into a single subscription-based service. The platform includes live and on-demand access to FOX News, FOX Sports, FS1, FS2, FOX Business, FOX Deportes, the Big Ten Network, local FOX stations, and the FOX Network. It was developed to serve cord-cutters and viewers seeking an alternative to traditional cable packages, with subscription options priced at $19.99 per month or $199.99 annually. The service also supports bundling with other offerings, such as FOX Nation.
The agreement reflects broader industry trends toward more personalized and interactive live streaming experiences. Traditional multiview features on some platforms have relied on fixed layouts chosen by the broadcaster. In contrast, the Skreens Tessera platform enables a build-your-own multiview approach, where viewers can select and arrange different feeds in real time. This flexibility is achieved through cloud-based adaptive channel infrastructure that processes and synchronizes streams on the server before delivery.
The agreement between FOX One and Skreens Entertainment Technologies marks a step in the development of live streaming technology. By combining multiview functionality with opportunities for contextual advertising, the platform aims to balance viewer choice with sustainable business models for premium live content. Further details on rollout timelines and specific event availability are expected as implementation advances.
