FOX News Digital achieved the highest performance among major news outlets in total digital multiplatform unique visitors, views, and minutes during April, according to data from Comscore. The outlet recorded 191 million unique visitors, representing a 46 percent increase from the previous year. It also generated 1.7 billion multiplatform views and 3.6 billion multiplatform minutes for the month.
These figures positioned FOX News Digital ahead of other prominent news organizations, including CNN, CBS News, The New York Times, NBC News, and ABC News. CNN and ABC News experienced notable year-over-year declines across the measured categories. FOX News Digital maintained its lead despite a modest decrease in its own views and minutes compared to April of the prior year.
Detailed comparisons highlight the performance gaps. FOX News Digital reached 191.115 million unique visitors. CBSNews.com followed with 179.545 million, up 10 percent year-over-year. NBCNews.com recorded 100.636 million visitors, an increase of 7 percent, while CNN.com had 72.516 million, down 19 percent. The New York Times digital properties attracted 71.333 million visitors, up 1 percent, and ABCNews.com sites drew 27.167 million, a decline of 41 percent.
In multiplatform total views, FOX News Digital posted 1.704 billion, followed by The New York Times at 1.47 billion. CNN.com generated 604 million views, CBSNews.com reached 359 million, NBCNews.com had 250 million, and ABCNews.com sites recorded 119 million. Minutes spent on the platforms further underscored the differences, with FOX News Digital at 3.595 billion, ahead of CBSNews.com at 1.014 billion, The New York Times at 1.148 billion, CNN.com at 992 million, NBCNews.com at 600 million, and ABCNews.com sites at 338 million.
On YouTube, FOX News accumulated 471.9 million video views according to Emplifi data. This total significantly exceeded those of major competitors. ABC News and NBC News each fell well below FOX, with FOX nearly quadrupling their combined performance in the category. FOX News also surpassed MSNBC by more than 167 million views and recorded more than seven times the views of CBS News, which reached 62.6 million. Year-over-year, FOX News held a 45 percent advantage in YouTube video views. Comparative figures included MSNBC at 304.4 million, CNN at 203.3 million, ABC News at 119.3 million, NBC News at 115.2 million, and CBS News at 62.6 million.
The FOX News mobile application attracted 6.3 million unique viewers in April, outpacing the CNN mobile app, which recorded 3.7 million unique viewers. This mobile engagement contributed to the broader digital strength demonstrated by the outlet.
FOX News Media also led all news brands in social media interactions for the 140th consecutive month, based on Emplifi and Comscore Social metrics. The platform generated 112.3 million interactions across major networks. Breakdowns included 50.2 million on Facebook, 19.7 million on Instagram, and 6.5 million on X. On TikTok, FOX News achieved 35.9 million interactions, marking an 83 percent year-over-year increase. Overall, the outlet drove 1.9 billion video views across social media channels during the month.
FOXBusiness.com added to the portfolio’s performance, recording 185.3 million multiplatform minutes in April to finish third among business-focused news sites. The site also delivered 87.9 million multiplatform views and 20.2 million unique visitors.
The April results reflect sustained audience engagement across desktop, mobile, video, and social platforms for FOX News Digital. While some competitors showed growth in specific areas, such as CBSNews.com in visitors and views, FOX News Digital maintained top positions in the aggregate metrics tracked by industry measurement services. These outcomes illustrate the competitive landscape in digital news consumption, where audience retention and time spent continue to vary among established brands.
