FOX is making another move to turn its streaming platforms into more than just a place for live sports and news. Red Seat Ventures announced a multiyear partnership with Kill Tony, saying the show will be distributed across FOX’s streaming services, including Tubi and FOX One, along with YouTube and other third-party platforms.
Hosted by Tony Hinchcliffe and Brian Redban, Kill Tony has built a massive audience, with more than 2.6 million YouTube subscribers and nearly 3 million downloads per episode across Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Red Seat will also serve as the exclusive audio and video ad sales partner for the comedy podcast, while ad-free episodes will be available through Supercast.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Tony and the Kill Tony entourage in bringing their wildly funny and captivating live comedy podcast to our growing portfolio of genre-defining creator content,” said Chris Balfe, CEO of Red Seat Ventures. “We look forward to expanding their audience across FOX’s streaming services and empowering them to scale and monetize their business in new ways.”
The latest addition fits neatly into FOX’s broader strategy, turning FOX One and Tubi into fuller streaming destinations, not just companion apps for traditional TV viewers. Last year, FOX acquired Red Seat Ventures to tap younger audiences and the growing podcast market, with the company operating under Tubi Media Group and helping FOX expand in sports, news, and entertainment.
“Red Seat Ventures is the perfect partner for our podcast – they understand our brand, our vision, and the importance of capturing and delivering live content to audiences,” said Tony Hinchcliffe. “Chris and his team have the right tools and resources for us to maximize and elevate our podcasting footprint, and we’re excited to kick off the partnership with even more great comedic content for our audiences.”
Just last week, the streamer added eight podcast series from FOX News Media and Red Seat Ventures, giving the service a bigger video podcast presence right inside the platform. That expansion included shows such as The Brett Cooper Show, Will Cain Country, Ruthless, and The President’s Daily Brief with Mike Baker. With Kill Tony now headed to FOX platforms, the company is clearly betting that comedy and video podcasts can help drive even more engagement.
