Here Is Your First Look at the New Nvidia Shield

From FCC filings to leaks of a rumored CES announcement we have been hearing about a new Nvidia Shield for months.

Now we have what appears to be photos of the new Nvidia Shield. There is nothing to compare this to in these images but according to the FCC filings the player, remote, and controller will all be smaller and slimmer than the older Nvidia Shield.

Android Police is also reporting that there is likely to be two different sizes of the new Nvidia Shield. This is nothing new since the first generation Nvidia Shield had a standard version and a pro version that were different.

However, this model seems to have physical size differences. Now we don’t know why but it is probably a safe guess that one will be a standard version and one will be a pro version. Again that is all guesswork.

We still do not know the storage size, processor speeds, CPU, etc. But it may not be that much different than what is available on the current Nvidia Shield. We do know Nvidia is selling most of the components used in the current Nvidia Shield to Nintendo for its new game system. So it is rumored that the new Shield will use different processors and graphics chips that Nintendo does not need for its Switch gaming system.
