FilmRise CEO Danny Fisher announced the New York-based TV and film company has acquired exclusive streaming rights to Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction, the cult-favorite anthology series that presents stories that defy logic and allows the viewer to determine whether it’s fact or fiction. This deal with Dick Clark Productions gives FilmRise exclusive streaming rights in North America, UK, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Dick Clark Productions so viewers around the world can revisit this dynamic series on numerous streaming platforms,” Danny Fisher said. “Much like “Unsolved Mysteries,” “Beyond Belief” contains bone-chilling stories that stick with audiences, lending itself to repeat viewing. Its nostalgic feel adds to the viewer’s engagement.”
Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction has 4 seasons totaling 45 episodes. The series was produced and aired by the Fox network from 1997 to 2002, with James Brolin as the original host for season 1. Star Trek: The Next Generation star Jonathan Frakes then took over as host until the series’ end.
Each episode presents a story that connects to supernatural, coincidence, ghosts, psychic, and other forms of unusual occurrences that leave viewers wondering if it could possibly be true. Each 45-minute episode typically featured five stories, at least one of which was true and at least one of which was a complete fabrication.
