FanDuel Sports Network, the regional sports broadcaster owned by Main Street Sports Group, announced on March 24, 2025, two strategic partnerships with SB Nation and Yahoo Sports to supercharge its direct-to-consumer (DTC) platform ahead of the 2025 Major League Baseball season. The deals, aimed at driving subscriber growth and amplifying brand visibility, tap into the digital clout of these sports media giants to connect with passionate fans across key platforms. With Opening Day looming, FanDuel Sports Network is betting on these collaborations to cement its place as a go-to for live MLB action and beyond.
“These partnerships represent our continued progress toward scaling FanDuel Sports Network and reaching the next generation of fans,” said Eric Ratchman, President of Distribution and Business Development at Main Street Sports Group. “By partnering with well-known sports media brands like SB Nation and Yahoo Sports, these foundational deals represent enhanced ways to engage fans and create more awareness of our product offering.” The network, which carries teams like the Pittsburgh Pirates and Vegas Golden Knights, is weaving its DTC service—offering live games and studio shows—into SB Nation’s team-specific editorial and Yahoo’s fantasy sports ecosystem to meet fans where they already scroll.
The SB Nation tie-up embeds FanDuel Sports Network into Vox Media’s 300+ team communities, known for diehard fan bases. Starting this spring, affiliate links and tune-in prompts will pepper SB Nation’s blogs and social channels—think Bucs Dugout hyping Pirates broadcasts. “Partnering with FanDuel Sports Network is an exciting opportunity to enhance the way we connect with our communities,” said Ryan Pauley, President of Revenue and Growth at Vox Media. “Our team sites have always been a trusted destination for passionate fans, and this collaboration allows us to further engage with and connect them to their favorite local teams.”
Meanwhile, Yahoo Sports joins the fray via its Yahoo Fantasy Plus subscription ($24.99/year), syncing FanDuel’s live sports with fantasy buffs. A cross-promotion offers extended free trials—Yahoo users sample FanDuel’s MLB streams, FanDuel subscribers get Yahoo’s premium stats—aiming to hook fantasy players with real-time analysis for lineups.
