Facebook recently announced that they plan to roll out their Facebook Video app to more streaming devices. (They already have a Roku Facebook Channel.)

“Our video app for TV is a new way to enjoy Facebook videos on a bigger screen. […] With the app, you can watch videos shared by friends or Pages you follow, top live videos from around the world, and recommended videos based on your interests. You can also catch up on videos you’ve saved to watch later, as well as revisit videos you’ve watched, shared or uploaded.” Facebook product manager Dana Sittler and engineering manager Alex Li wrote in announcing the new features in a blog post.

Now it seems the roll out has started as Samsung announced today that the new Facebook App is now available on Samsung Smart TVs.

The Facebook video app for TV is now available on Samsung Smart TVs, including its 2017 QLED TV lineup and all of its 2015, 2016, 2017 Smart TV models. Samsung is the only TV manufacturer that’s supporting the Facebook app at launch, the Samsung also also notes.

This news leads us to expect that Facebook will come the the Fire TV and Apple TV soon. Maybe even other devices like the Nvidia Shield.
