Fans of soccer watching matchWe are getting closer to the start of spring and Major League Baseball. Now we know that Facebook will have exclusive streaming rights to 25 afternoon games in the United States.

Most of the games will be Weekday Afternoons starting April 4th between the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets. You will be able to watch on smartphones, tablets, computers and Smart TVs and streaming media players.

The best part is you will be able to watch these games outside of the United States. Facebook will be streaming them worldwide but outside of the United States, they will not be exclusive.

We are unsure if this means that Facebook has exclusive free streaming rights or if services like DIRECTV NOW and Sling TV will have to blackout the games. We are working to find out and will update this story as we learn more.

MLB will also produce and distribute content for Facebook including highlight packages for every regular season game and team-specific weekly recap videos for all 30 MLB teams.

*This is breaking news and we will update this story as we learn more.
