Yesterday Warner Bros. Discovery held its annual upfront event for the press and advertisers. During that event, we learned some new details about HBO Max’s plans to rebrand to Max next week. Today we are going to break down everything we learned about the new Max service launching next week.

This newly merged service will, according to Warner Bros. Discovery will, offer everything on Discovery+ and HBO Max in a single service. It is said that this new service will have everything Warner Bros. Discovery has to offer on both HBO Max and Discovery+.

Here is what we learned yesterday:

Same Day New Episodes:

During the upfront, Warner Bros. Discovery announced that all of their new shows will be added to Max the same night they air on cable TV.

How Many Ads You Should Expect With The Ad-Supported Plan:

There is also good news if you want to switch to the cheaper $9.99 ad-supported plans. According to Warner Bros. Discovery, the new Max service will have just 3 to 4 minutes of ads per hour. This low ad load will help it stand out from other ad-supported streaming services.

Warner Bros. Discovery Plans to Add Live Sports to Max:

Yesterday Warner Bros. Discovery announced that its new HBO Max rebranded service Max would be adding live sports in the future.

Sadly Warner Bros. Discovery stopped short of getting any details other than to say they will announce more details in the future. For now we will have to wait and see what they announce about this in the future.

Max Orders New Conan O’Brien Travel Series:

d fans he’s amassed through his popular weekly podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend (2018 – ) and companion series Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan (2021).

“My fans around the globe never asked me to visit them, so I did,” he says.

Conan has been a late-night television legend for 28 years, first hosting Late Night with Conan O’Brien from 1993 to 2009 before moving to The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien from 2009 to 2010. From 2010 to 2021, he hosted Conan on TBS, securing his spot as one of the longest tenures in late-night television history.
