This week Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery announced a new bundle of Disney+, Hulu, and Max that will launch this summer. Not a lot is known about this bundle other than it is happening.

What content will you get with this new bundle?

Subscribers will get content from ABC, CNN, DC, Discovery, Disney, Food Network, FX, HBO, HGTV, Hulu, Marvel, Pixar, Searchlight, and Warner Bros.

Here is what Disney had to say about the library of content: “On the heels of the very successful launch of Hulu on Disney+, this new bundle with Max will offer subscribers even more choice and value,” said Joe Earley, President, Direct to Consumer, Disney Entertainment. “This incredible new partnership puts subscribers first, giving them access to blockbuster films, originals, and three massive libraries featuring the very best brands and entertainment in streaming today.”

What will the service cost?

Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney did not announce a price for the service, but they did hint that it would be less expensive than getting all three on their own.

“This new offering delivers for consumers the greatest collection of entertainment for the best value in streaming and will help drive incremental subscribers and much stronger retention,” said JB Perrette, CEO and President, Global Streaming and Games, Warner Bros. Discovery. “Offering this unprecedented entertainment value for fans across all the complimentary genres these three services offer, presents a powerful new roadmap for the future of the industry.”

When will the service launch?

No exact date has been announced but it is coming in the summer of 2024. It is expected that new details will be announced soon. We will have to wait to learn more about the pricing and the launch date.

Final Thoughts

Sadly, we know little about the service, but the move seems like the logical next step after the two companies launch a joint partnership in sports streaming. This will put pressure on other companies like NBCUniversal and Paramount to team up to offer their own bundles.
