Here is everything new on Britbox in October 2017:

  • QI (US Exclusive Premiere/ ”Now” Title ) –  Part razor sharp comedy, part trivia quiz show, QI features contestants rewarded more for “interesting” answers than accurate ones.

Week of 10/2

  • October 2ndDoctor Who: Wheel in Space – (US Exclusive Premiere) – BritBox and the Doctor Who Restoration team joined forces to revive this lost Patrick Troughton epic.  Jamie and the Doctor arrive on a mysterious spaceship only to be invaded by the Cybermen with intent to invade Earth once again.
  • October 4th:  A Very British Murder with Lucy Worsley (BritBox Exclusive Premiere) – A nation’s fascination with the grisly details of the dark and despicable crime of murder is at the heart of this fascinating documentary series. Historian Lucy Worsley explores how British murders from the early 19th century became a staple of an astonishing range of entertainments.
  • October 7th: Dalziel & Pascoe (BritBox Exclusive Premiere) – Seasons 5 through 7 of this popular crime drama features some of the most powerful storylines for the gritty crime investigators DS Andy Dalziel and DI Peter Pascoe. Warren Clarke (Poldark) is the witty, down-to-earth Andy Dalziel and Colin Buchanan (Touch of Frost) is his university-educated sidekick DI Peter Pascoe.

Week of 10/9

  • October 12th:  Red Dwarf  (US Exclusive Premiere/ ”Now” Title ) – The twelfth series of the legendary comedy will once again by written and directed by Doug Naylor, following last year’s series being named “Best Comedy of the Year” and “Best Returning Comedy” by British Comedy Guide.
    NOTE: Episodes will be made available within 24 hours after initial UK debut.
  • October 14th:  Dirk Gently Holistic Detective Agency (2012)  (BritBox Premiere) – See where it all began as BritBox brings back the original episodes of the popular series based on the cult novel by Douglas Adams(Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy)

Week of 10/16

  • October 18th:  Broken (US Exclusive Premiere) – A Catholic Priest in Northern England must battle his own secret tussles while being a confidante, counsellor, and confessor to a community that is struggling to balance faith with the harsh realities of daily life.

Week of 10/23

  • October 25th:  HIM  (US Exclusive Premiere)  – From multi award-winning screenwriter Paula Milne comes this striking and original drama. This gripping story centers on a 17-year-old boy (Dunkirk’s Fion Whitehead), known only in the drama as HIM, who is caught in the limbo between childhood and adulthood.
  •  October 28th:  Hammer House Of Horror (BritBox Premiere) –  Named by the British Film Institute (BFI) as one of the Top 10 horror shows, this anthology series made a shocking impact on the world of science fiction with its eye for devilish detail.
