In April, Disney began sharing details about an updated streaming app, referring to it as a new flagship ESPN app and last then sharing that it will be named ESPN. This week, the company launched a Sports Forever ad campaign to promote the app.
Today, ESPN updated its streaming website to allow users to download the ESPN app.
The website says: All of ESPN. All in one place. Introducing ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer streaming service. Coming Fall 2025. Built by fans for fans. Access to all seven ESPN linear networks, plus ESPN on ABC, EPSN+, SECN+, and ACCNX.
According to previous announcements from the company, the new ESPN app will cost $29.99 per month, with the option to bundle with Disney+ and Hulu at a price of $35.99 per month. When the service launches this fall, Disney will offer a limited time deal to bring the bundle price down to $29.99 per month for the first 12 months.
Existing ESPN+ subscribers will automatically become subscribers to ESPN’s new service, based on their current subscription level. Standalone ESPN+ subscribers get the ESPN select plan, and Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundle subscribers get the ESPN select bundle. Those who subscribe to the bundle will be able to watch ESPN content within the Disney+ app.
