If you are a college basketball fan, you probably know the ESPN Buzzer Beater channel. This channel jumps from game to game keeping you up to date on the biggest games and what is happening in the world of college basketball. The channel is similar to the NFL RedZone channel and is a sister station to the ESPN Goal Line channel, which does the same thing for college football.
This all comes from TVPreditions.com, which talked with Kristie Adler an ESPN spokeswoman.
With more ways than ever to program our networks across all screens, we have decided to shift resources to better position ourselves for the long term. We will leverage the reach and scale we have across our TV and digital platforms to continue to provide more college basketball coverage than any other company.
ESPN did add that ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Bases Loaded will both return for their 2017 and 2018 seasons. Only ESPN Buzzer Beater will be shut down.
Currently all live TV streaming services, such as DIRECTV NOW and PlayStation Vue, offer these channels, but only Sling TV included it inside its app. Other services included the channels as a part of the WatchESPN app.
