Last month, ESPN+ gave subscribers a warning that the price of the streaming service would be increasing to $6.99/month or $69.99/year, up from $5.99/month and $59.99/year. That increase is going into effect this Friday.

To avoid the price hike for now, you can sign up for the ESPN+ annual plan before Friday and lock in the current price of $59.99/year.

With ESPN+, subscribers will have access to thousands of live sports events every year, along with original programming like 30 for 30 and E:6, and coverage of over a dozen sports leagues including MLB, UF, PGA, and Bundesliga.

The streaming service has 13.8 million subscribers, according to the most recently reported numbers. In Disney’s Q2 announcement, Bob Chapek, Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company noted that Disney “focused on ramping up our operations while also fueling long-term growth for the company.” He went on to mention a focus on “the expansion of our unrivaled portfolio of multiyear sports rights deals for ESPN and ESPN+” which was likely a factor in the company’s decision to raise the price of the service.

While the price of ESPN+ is going up, there will not be a change to the price of the Disney Bundle. You can still sign up for the bundle with Hulu, ESPN+, and Disney+ starting at $13.99.
