Two playoff contenders are coming to Disney+ after ESPN confirmed that its Week 16 Monday Night Football matchup will be available on the streamer.

When the December 22 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Indianapolis Colts kicks off at 8:00 PM ET, viewers can find the gam on Disney+, ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes, and the ESPN App. This marks a milestone as the first traditional NFL game made available to stream on Disney+ for standalone subscribers. Disney+ now stands alongside top streaming platforms, including ESPN, DIRECTV, FuboHulu + Live TVSling TV, and YouTube TV, in bringing live coverage straight from Lucas Oil Stadium.

With the move, Disney+ continues to ramp up its live‑sports roster, giving standalone subscribers even more to cheer about. The streamer has aired Funday Football alternate telecasts, NBA, NHL, MLB, college football, and other marquee events. By adding a mainstream NFL regular-season game onto the platform, millions of subscribers get access to two of the league’s top teams without paying an additional fee.

Back in August, the NFL and ESPN agreed to a landmark rights deal, which gave the network rights to distribute games on Disney+. For the Colts-Niners game, the traditional commentary crew of Joe Buck (play-by-play), Troy Aikman (analyst), and sideline reporters Lisa Salters and Laura Rutledge will call the action from Indianapolis.

Mark your calendar for Monday, December 22, at 8 PM ET for the first-ever traditional NFL broadcast on Disney+. You can stream the 49ers vs. Colts on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, or any other compatible device. If you’re not a Disney+ subscriber, you can lock in a subscription for $12.99 per month.

For a limited time, you can get even more entertainment with the Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Unlimited bundle for $29.99 per month for 12 months
