The film adaptation of one of the most frightful and populiar rides at Disneyland is coming to streaming next month. Disney+ is kicking off Halloween early by adding The Haunted Mansion to its catalog and sharing the treat with all major digital retailers.

Inspired by the classic Disney theme park thrill ride, The Haunted Mansion is a family-friendly spooky comedy that follows a single mom who enlists the help of a psychic, a priest, and a historian to dust the cobwebs and the ghosts out of her new mansion. As the group tries to rid the house of the supernatural squatters, they must escape or become one of the haunted.

Directed by Justin Simien and written by Katie Dippold, The Haunted Mansion hosts a star-studded cast, including Jamie Lee Curtis, LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny Devito, Rosario Dawson, Chase W. Dillon, and Jared Leto.

The Haunted Mansion makes its Disney+ debut on October 4. Fans can also buy the film through all major digital retailers such as Prime Video, Apple TV, and Vudu/Fandango. If you wait until October 17, when it comes out on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, you’ll be treated to bonus features, including eight deleted scenes, an extended gag reel, and exclusive featurettes.

The featurettes, as described by Disney, include:

  • Making Haunted Mansion: Hear from cast, crew, and filmmakers about creating this grim, grinning adventure based on the world-famous ride. See how the ghosts were “brought to life,” what role new technology played, and how the wildly popular attraction inspired the film’s design.
  • 999 Happy Haunts: There are 999 Happy Haunts inside the Disney Parks’ attraction, but there is always room for one more! See all the Easter eggs (well, maybe not all of them) where characters big, small, alive, departed, human, and otherwise appear in both the movie and the ride.

The Haunted Mansion debuted in theaters on July 28 and is still playing in theaters. However, for those who can wait, Disney+ is offering its Basic with ads plan for $1.99 a month for the first three months for new and returning customers through September 20.
