Disney+ has announced dates and pricing for the streaming service’s launch in 42 new countries later this summer, including 11 new territories. The new launches will give viewers in those areas access to the Disney+ library, including its Originals, Star Wars and Marvel content, animated classics and more.
According to Disney, users will have access to high-quality viewing, up to four concurrent streams, unlimited downloads on up to ten devices, IMAX Enhanced for selected titles (where available), and the ability to set up to seven different profiles, including the ability for parents to set Kids Profiles that have an easy-to-navigate child-friendly interface to access age-appropriate content.
The launch of these new areas nearly doubles the number of countries in which Disney+ is available, including more than 50+ North American, Latin American, and Asian-Pacific countries. This will boost the streamer’s goal of reaching 230 to 260 million subscribers by 2024. Disney+ currently has about 129.8 million subscribers globally.
