Walt Disney World will start offering Disney+ subscribers a free Dining Plan deal with free meals as the company tries to entice people to book a trip to its amusement park.
Disney+ subscribers in the U.S. can sign up for the Disney Dining Plan for free when they book a vacation at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, this summer. The offer is available for the non-discounted four-night, four-day Walt Disney Travel Company package. This includes a select Disney Resort hotel room and theme park tickets with a Park Hopper option.
The offer starts January 3 and can only be applied to visits between July 1 and September 30, 2024.
This is the first time Disney World has offered the Disney Dining Plan since the park removed the option after a rush of visitors during the pandemic. As the season slows down for travelers, Disney aims to entice tourists to visit by bringing the deal back for a limited time and encourage people to keep or sign up for Disney+.
It also comes amid an overall slowdown in attendance, which exploded after the pandemic but has steadily fallen amid a backlash to higher prices and reduced perks.
The Disney Dining Plan covers meals and snacks at more than 200 meal spots throughout the park. It includes one Quick-Service meal, one Table-Service meal, one non-alcoholic/alcoholic drink per meal, one selected snack or drink, and one resort-refillable mug for guests ages three and older per day.
Disney Dining meals can be redeemed at Disney Resort hotels and quick bite locations within Hollywood Studios or EPCOT. Visitors can also book reservations at table-service restaurants throughout the park, including “all-you-care-to-enjoy” Polynesian-inspired feasts at ‘Ohana in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or The Boathouse in Disney Springs.
