Disney launched the ad-supported version of its streaming service, Disney+, in more locations around the world today including Canada, the Middle East, and Africa. Now viewers in those areas have more subscription plan options to watch the media giant’s catalog of exclusive originals, documentaries, shorts, and classic favorites.

Ad-supported, Standard, and Premium plans give subscribers multiple profiles per account and parental controls, simultaneous streaming, and high-quality video formats depending on your plan.

Here’s how the prices break down:

– Disney+ Standard with Ads (per month): $7.99, £4.99, €5.99. 7.99 (Swiss Franc), 59.00 (Norwegian Krone), 49.00 (Danish Krone), 59.00 (Swedish Krona)
– Disney+ Standard: $11.99, £7.99, €8.99, 12.90 (Swiss Franc), 89.00 (Norwegian Krone), 79.00 (Danish Krone), 89.00 (Swedish Krona)
– Disney+ Premium: $14.99, £10.99, €11.99, 17.90 (Swiss Franc), 119.00 (Norwegian Krone), 109.00 (Danish Krone), 119.00 (Swedish Krona)

Disney said existing customers in Germany will remain in their current subscription and price — subject to change in future — from November 1. Those customers will see the service’s name change to Disney+ Premium and have the option to swap to the ad-supported plan. In addition, existing customers in Austria will see new pricing on their next billing cycle on or after January 10, 2024.

“We are excited to expand that offering in more markets across the globe, including in Europe and Canada, and to launch a new premium duo bundle of ad-free Disney+ and Hulu this Fall, as we take steps toward making extensive Hulu content available via Disney+ later this year for Bundle subscribers,” Joe Earley, president of direct-to-consumer at Disney Entertainment.

Like many companies, Disney has been struggling to make its streaming service profitable. Launching more affordable options to a wider audience could result in a rise in subscribers as more viewers trend towards ad-supported services.
