Today, DISH announced that Boost Wireless has launched its 5G network in 12 new towns and that it now covers 73% of the United States.
“Our network covers over 73 percent of the U.S. population with broadband, and we haven’t stopped there. The Boost Wireless Network is the largest commercial deployment of 5G voice, or VoNR, in the world. It already reaches more than 140 million Americans in over 85 markets,” said John Swieringa, president of technology and COO, DISH Wireless. “The continued rollout of VoNR markets every month allows us to compete at scale, as the nation’s 4th wireless carrier.”
These new markets include:

- Columbia, SC
- Denver, CO
- Fayetteville, NC
- Jacksonville, FL
- Minneapolis, MN
- Philadelphia, PA
- Portland, OR
- Shreveport, LA
- Tucson, AZ
- Washington, DC
DISH now has its own 5G network live in 89 markets. In other areas, DISH uses a combination of wireless networks from T-Mobile and AT&T to cover the rest of the U.S. Right now, DISH is the fourth largest provider of wireless service in the country. Boost says its new 5G network works on iPhone 15 family, Samsung A23 5G, motorola edge+ 2022 and 2023, Moto G Stylus 2022 and 2023, Moto G 5G 2022 and 2023, Motorola Razr and its DISH-made, Boost-Exclusive Celero 5G+. DISH says additional compatible devices will continue to become available.
DISH hopes to continue to slowly roll out its own 5G network and add support for more devices so it can stop using T-Mobile and other networks to support its customers.
DISH now offers 5G service starting at just $15 a month through Boost Mobile and going up from there.
