Today Dish and Fox announced a new long term agreement to re-add Fox-owned locals along with FS1, FS2, BTN, and more. This deal does not include Fox Regional Sports Networks as they are now owned by Sinclair. This all comes after Fox-owned networks went dark on Dish and Sling TV just over two weeks ago.
“We appreciate our customers’ patience as we worked to reach a long-term agreement that restores the Fox networks and local broadcast stations.” Dish, the parent company of Sling TV said in a statement posted on its website.
Here is a full breakdown of the channels re-added:
- Fox owned-and-operated local stations, FS1 and FS2, restored on DISH and Sling
- BTN, Fox Soccer Plus, and Fox Deportes return to DISH
Still no word on what is included in this new deal and if BTN or Fox News, for example, will be added to Sling TV. Typically it takes a few weeks to a few months before new channels are added to a live TV streaming service after a deal is reached to carry them.
This is breaking news more to come soon.
