DISH Network, a leading satellite television provider, has announced a $5 per month price increase for select core programming packages, fees, and surcharges, effective September 11, 2025. The adjustment will affect a range of English core packages, including the Welcome Pack, Smart Pack, Flex Pack, DISH America, America’s Top 120, America’s Top 120+, America’s Top 200, America’s Top 250, and America’s Everything Pack. The price for local channels will remain unchanged at $14 per month.

The company attributes the price hike to rising programming costs that have outpaced inflation. According to DISH, the primary drivers behind the increase are the escalating fees charged by large media conglomerates that control the majority of television channels. These programmers often require providers like DISH to bundle all their channels, even if customers primarily watch only a few, limiting flexibility in package offerings. Additionally, these conglomerates have been increasing their fees, threatening to pull their channels from DISH’s lineup if demands are not met. This dynamic has put significant pressure on DISH to adjust its pricing to maintain its current channel offerings.

Starting September 11, 2025, the updated pricing for DISH’s English core packages will be as follows: Welcome Pack at $66.99, Smart Pack at $70.99, Flex Pack at $72.99, DISH America at $87.99, America’s Top 120 at $102.99, America’s Top 120+ at $107.99, America’s Top 200 at $117.99, America’s Top 250 at $127.99, and America’s Everything Pack at $152.99. Plus fees and taxes. These changes reflect the $5 increase across the board for the affected packages.

DISH has emphasized its ongoing efforts to negotiate fair deals with programmers to keep channel costs down and minimize the financial impact on customers. The company stated that it actively works to manage expenses and maintain affordability, but the rising costs imposed by programmers have necessitated this adjustment. DISH remains committed to providing a wide range of programming options while balancing the economic realities of the industry.

This price increase comes at a time when many consumers are evaluating their entertainment budgets amid broader economic challenges. DISH’s adjustment follows a trend in the television industry, where providers face mounting pressure from content owners to cover the costs of popular programming. Customers are encouraged to review their current packages and explore available options to align with their viewing preferences and budgets. DISH has not announced further changes to its pricing structure at this time.
