The DISH Hopper 3 is a digital video recorder supplied to DISH satellite TV subscribers. While it can record and broadcast multiple streams at once, a new feature is bringing free, ad-supported video streams directly from the device.

There are three so-called FAST sections called Bonus View Western, Bonus View Classics, and Bonus View The Movies.

It’s just the latest company to offer free, ad-supported streaming content with the format taking off in 2023. Everyone from Roku to Samsung is offering a free stream, with the ads enough to generate a new source of revenue.

Here’s a rundown of the Hopper channels:

  • Bonus view Westerns
  • 091-1 NOST
  • 091-2 Cowboy Way
  • 091-3 Lone star
  • Bonus view Classics
  • 092-1 Electric Now
  • 092-2 The Bob Ross Channel
  • 092-3 The Film Detective
  • 092-4 The three stooges
  • 092-5 stash TV the classics
  • 092-6 ACE
  • Bonus view The Movies
  • 093-2 Documentary plus
  • 093-3 Horror by alter
  • 093-4 HiYAH!
  • 093-5 Maverick Black Cinema
  • 093-6 Scream Box TV
  • 093-7 Glewed TV

A spokesperson for DISH wasn’t immediately available to clarify when these launched and what the future plans are for streaming content on the Hopper DVR.
