Discovery has announced the launch of Hogar de HGTV, a Spanish language network that pulls content from Food Network, HGTV and Discovery. The new channel will debut on Cox contour June 30 and Charter Spectrum August 1. This will be Discovery’s third Hispanic network joining Discovery en Español and Discovery Familia.
“Discovery is already well-regarded as the leader in real-life entertainment, reflected in the success of Discovery en Español and Discovery Familia,” said Fernando Medin, president and GM of Discovery Latin America and U.S. Hispanic. “Discovery U.S. Hispanic is dedicated to making a genuine connection to our audience with programming that resonates with their lives, interests and aspirations—and that also best serves the vital, growing U.S. Hispanic marketplace.”
Programming will include favorites like Chopped, The Barefoot Contessa, Giadia’s Italy, along with new original content Mientras no estabas, Destino con Sabor and Chef a Domicilio where contestants participate at home. The entire series was produced from the individual homes of the contestants during the coronavirus pandemic.
