DIRECTV is expanding its MySports genre pack again. MySports subscribers can now choose to add the MyHome Team “mini pack add-on” to their plan to watch local MLB, NBA, NHL, and other teams in select areas.
The add-on is available only to MySports genre pack subscribers and will cost an additional $19.99 per month. Be sure to enter your zip code on the DIRECTV STREAM website to find out which channels are available in your area.
“MyHome Team delivers unmatched flexibility and control for a local sports enthusiast to tune in and watch their teams whenever they want, whether that’s all season long or during portions of the season,” said Vince Torres, chief marketing officer at DIRECTV. “With industry-leading features like Sports Mode, Game Time Notifications, Pre-Game Stats and Live Scores included, DIRECTV customers can stream their local team satellite-free and never miss a play.”
MyHome Team currently has 20 regional sports networks and team-specific channels for MLB, NBA, and NHL teams. At launch, that will give access to 37 pro teams — 12 MLB, 15 NBA, and 10 NHL. DIRECTV says that number will expand as MyHome Team becomes available in other major cities and more regional sports networks sign on.
Those networks include:
- Altitude Sports and Entertainment (servicing Denver and other regional cities)
- Chicago Sports Network and Marquee Sports Network (including Chicago)
- FanDuel Sports Networks (including Atlanta, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Memphis, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Nashville, Oklahoma City, Orlando, San Antonio, St. Louis, Tampa, and several others)
- Rangers Sports Network (including Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and others)
DIRECTV STREAM launched the MySports pack in January, followed by three more genre-specific packages. Here’s what each package offers:
