Cord Cutters News has heard from several readers that the new DIRECTV NOW app up fixes the crashes with the iOS 11 beta and tvOS 11 beta. It seems DIRECTV NOW will now work on Apple TV, iPhones, or iPads running the iOS 11 beta software.

The new beta has a few new features for the apple TV. A light/dark mode you can pick from. You can now sync your home screen across multiple Apple TVs. There are also numerous back end changes.

If you do want to test the new iOS 11 beta if you have an Apple developer account, simply go the the developer website on your iPhone or iPad and you’ll be able to install Apple’s new beta configuration profile. Then iOS 11 beta 1 will show up under Settings > General > Software Update as an over the air (OTA) download. Alternatively, you can visit the same link on your computer and download iOS 11 beta 1 to install through iTunes.
