In a bold move to enhance its offerings and solidify its position as a leading entertainment provider, DIRECTV has announced that millions of its customers will now receive free access to two major streaming services: Fox One and ESPN Unlimited. This initiative, dubbed “The Great Rebundling” by DIRECTV, aims to provide a seamless, all-in-one platform for live sports, news, and entertainment, catering to both cord-cutters and traditional subscribers.

Starting today, DIRECTV streaming, satellite, and U-verse customers can access Fox One, Fox Corporation’s new direct-to-consumer streaming service, at no additional cost. Fox One, which retails for $19.99 per month for non-subscribers, offers a robust lineup of live sports, news, and entertainment, including NFL and college football games on Fox, FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network, and Fox Deportes, as well as news from Fox News, Fox Business, and local Fox affiliates. Customers can access Fox One immediately by using their DIRECTV account credentials to log in via the TV provider authentication process, similar to the previous Fox Now app. This integration ensures a seamless experience for viewers seeking premium sports and news content without additional fees.

In addition to Fox One, DIRECTV is rolling out free access to ESPN Unlimited, Disney’s comprehensive sports streaming platform, which launched on August 21, 2025. Priced at $29.99 per month for non-subscribers, ESPN Unlimited provides access to ESPN’s full suite of networks, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, ESPNews, and ESPN Deportes, along with exclusive content like WWE live events and personalized features such as “SportsCenter for You.” DIRECTV has confirmed that all streaming and MySports package subscribers will automatically gain access to ESPN Unlimited. The company is proactively contacting customers with instructions on how to log in to the ESPN app, which is available on smart TVs, Roku, FireTV, mobile devices, tablets, and DIRECTV’s Gemini device (channel 210 or Featured Apps).

DIRECTV’s inclusion of these services comes at no extra cost, a significant value-add for subscribers. For those with a Gemini device and a Signature Package, the benefits extend further, with free access to the Disney+ and Hulu Basic Bundle alongside ESPN Unlimited. This move aligns with DIRECTV’s strategy to consolidate premium content into a single platform, eliminating the need for multiple subscriptions and reducing app-switching for viewers. The company’s MySports Genre Pack, introduced earlier this year, also complements this offering by providing sports-centric programming from Disney, Fox, NBCUniversal, and more.

The rollout of free Fox One and ESPN Unlimited access positions DIRECTV as a one-stop shop for sports and entertainment enthusiasts. Industry analysts see this as a response to the growing demand for flexible, high-value streaming options amid rising competition from services like YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV. DIRECTV’s initiative also coincides with a forthcoming bundle combining ESPN Unlimited and Fox One for $39.99 per month, set to launch on October 2, 2025, for non-DIRECTV subscribers.
