Sometime this week DIRECTV NOW quietly added several FOX and NBC affiliates. As best we can tell Raycom Media owned Fox affiliates and Hearst owned NBC affiliates have started to go live on DIRECTV NOW.
Raycom-Media currently owns about 16 FOX affiliates across the United States. Hearst Television owns about 12 NBC affiliates across the united states. Now that does not mean all of them will be added as recently DIRECTV NOW has been rolling out affiliates as they are ready vs waiting till all of them are ready.
Update: So far we have confirmed that new affiliates have been added in Greensboro NC, Lancaster PA, and New Orleans.
This would be the 3rd time that DIRECTV NOW has added locals in the month of October. Last week they added 8 NBC affiliates and now are slowly adding affiliates from around the United States.
This puts DIRECTV NOW in a close battle with Hulu and PlayStation Vue for the most locals on a live TV streaming service. Recently both Hulu and DIRECTV NOW have been busy adding locals almost every week.
