DIRECTV NOW is Looking For Paid Survey Participants

Today DIRECTV NOW started to contact a small group of former beta testers about a new opportunity. In the email, AT&T asked for participants for a study to improve DIRECTV NOW. Well not said in the email from the wording of the survey our readers said it was very likely they wanted input on a new service or device.

Well, Cord Cutters News cannot confirm that it is consistent with what AT&T has done in the past. That is also how it was reported to Cord Cutters News by several readers who received the email. Also, the confidentiality contract required to join the survey group points to this being more than just a study. According to the readers we talked with they did not sign any contracts at this time.

What we can confirm is that Cord Cutters News has seen the email that went out and some of the questions in the survey.

So what could AT&T and DIRECTV NOW working on? Well, if this is about a new device or service it likely has to do with the new Android TV box AT&T is working on. Many suspects that this device will probably be used for the new DIRECTV streaming service. It is reported that this service will take all the contracts and channels of DIRECTV and move it online replacing the need for a dish and a satellite in space.

It has been reported that AT&T plans to launch the new DIRECTV streaming version by the end of 2018. If that is true, it is very likely AT&T is looking for beta testers now to be ready for a fall or winter launch of the new DIRECTV streaming version.
