Last night DIRECTV NOW rolled out an update to their Android app to version 2.0.13.01270 that included several bugs. The biggest bug that was fixed was a fix for the persistent video pause display bug. This bug would cause the play/pause controls to be stuck on your screen when in landscape mode.
Many reviewers have been complaining about the bug including David just today:
Worked fine until last update. Now the play/pause controls will not leave the screen in landscape. Makes it unwatchable. Please fix ASAP! Paying for an unwatchable service is not an option. Samsung Note 9 and S9. Days later and still not fixed. Support for this app is non existent. AT&T should be embarrassed. Update 9/13, app is still not fixed. Wish I could give a negative rating. With all of its resources, AT&T can’t get the app fixed? For s PAID SERVICE! Truly pathetic. Update 9/18. Uninstalled. Reinstalled. Again. STILL BROKEN! Non existant support. UPDATE 9/25/18: Finally fixed. It took devs ~ three weeks to fix this bug. Wonder if AT&T will give a bill credit? BWAHAHAHA!!!!
