Yesterday DIRECTV NOW announced that it had recently added 25 more ABC, NBC, and FOX affiliates across the United States; however, AT&T didn’t stop there. It announced some future plans for DIRECTV NOW.

In its press release about the new locals DIRECTV NOW said, “When we add these and other affiliates in the coming weeks, we’ll offer over 170 live local channels on DIRECTV NOW in more than 80 markets.”

We don’t know all of the markets being added, but we it did re-confirm that 25 of the 40 new locals will be from CBS-owned and -operated CBS and The CW affiliates.

As best we can tell here are the CBS and The CW affiliates that will be added.

The following are all the CBS stations that CBS currently owns:

  • Alexandria, Minnesota
  • Baltimore
  • Boston
  • Chicago
  • Denver
  • Detroit
  • Fort Worth
  • Los Angeles
  • Miami
  • Minneapolis
  • New York City
  • Philadelphia
  • Pittsburgh
  • San Francisco
  • Stockton, California
  • Walker, Minnesota

The following are all The CW stations CBS owns:

  • Atlanta
  • Detroit
  • Pittsburg
  • Philadelphia
  • Sacramento
  • San Francisco
  • Seattle
  • Tampa

We still do not have a set date for when this will happen but according to AT&T The CW and CBS affiliates will be added to DIRECTV NOW in the next few weeks.
