Today AT&T quietly added a new option to their DIRECTV NOW with the launch of international packages. The first package is called Brazilian and includes two channels for $25 a month. These two channels are PFC and TV Globo.
This is likely just the start of DIRECT NOW’s international packages. From the looks of it, AT&T wants to take on Sling TV and fuboTV by rolling out their own international packages giving customers in the United States access to content from other countries.
Sling TV already offers several Brasil packages that include Globo plus 20 other channels for $20 a month. (You can get PFC and 28 other channels for $35 a month.) Hopefully, for fans of Brazilian TV, the competition from DIRECTV NOW may bring in new options with more channels. (Note Band Internacional and Band News are exclusive to Sling TV and Dish.)
To add the Brazilian package to your DIRECTV NOW service go to settings, packages, and scroll down to the bottom where you will see a “Worldwide Entertainment” section.
Update: AT&T has confirmed the new DIRECTV NOW international packages.
Correction: The correct price for Sling TV’s Brazilian language package is $20 and going up to $35.
